Meet Judith
I always wanted adventure and change in my life, and I certainly got it. I grew up in Maine, a beautiful place to live, then lived in the Midwest and Florida. Now I make my home in the Hill Country of Texas, truly God’s chosen place on earth. My husband, David, my very own cowboy, is a sixth generation Texan, tracing his roots here back to the time when Texas was a Republic, so retiring here was a dream we finally fulfilled.
I’ve done everything from sports reporting to managing rock bands to working for universities. A lot of the people I;’ve met along the way might see glimpses of themselves in my books.
Writing has always been a dream for me, and I’m lucky that my cowboy encourages me. Even puts up with the country music I love to play when I’m writing, the jeans and t-shirts I live in and the Tootsie Pops I’m never without. And god knows he’s eaten more peanut butter sandwiches than any human on earth when I have a deadline haunting me. Oh, and if you like the titles of my books? Chances are they came from him, because he’s v ery good at that.
If I’m not writing I’m reading, anything I can get my hands on, or watching football, my other obsessikon. Especially when my University of Micigan Wolverines are playing. I actually have a football romantic suspense series started that I’ve got to finish one of these days. Right after I finish ym series on cowboys, heroines with psychic gifts and my mercenaries, and…Well, you get the idea.
Our kids are all grown and out on their own, and are my best promotors. Even my granddaughter has come up with some great ideaas for stories. Otherwise it’s just David (my cowvboy) and me, and our three cats. If you’ve ever entered one of my contests, you know they help me by picking the winner’s name out of David’s Stetson.
